HI, I’M ALIESA GEORGE,

The Founder of Centerworks®
And Bodhi Body Pilates.

As a wellness expert with more than 40 years of teaching, coaching, and movement mentoring experience, my passion is helping people deepen the mind-body connection
by exploring common-sense strategies for health enhancement and self-care to achieve wellness success.

As a life-long learner, I’m always in the middle of exploring something new mind-body modality for health, fitness, and personal growth. Additionally, I have training in a fascia stretching technique called Rossiter® Stretching, AntiGravity Fitness-aerial hammock classes, Bigu Qigong, Touch for Health Kinesiology, and I’m currently working towards completion of certification as a Professional Kinesiology Practitioner and educator thru the ICPKP – International College of Professional Kinesiology Practice.

My Journey

As a health and wellness practitioner, I have assisted thousands of clients over the years and have help them reach their goals. Being diagnosed with “degenerative arthritis” (being bone-on-bone in both ankles) from a young age, I understand the frustration of your body turning against you and the negative emotions that it can make you feel.

I’ve spent years visiting medical doctors and none of them were about to help me.

Nothing they told me helped and no one could find a cause or a remedy to help me. This lack of real support, and knowing what positive steps I can take over time took a toll on my mental health.

But every challenge led to discovering new ways of withing WITH my body to improve my health.

I have become stronger mentally and physically by listening to my body, and working with what is safe and appropriate. I learned to make positive lifestyle changes to “fix” and improve my habits for a shot at a better quality of life. Working on myself as given me empathy for others in similar struggles. I’ve worked with healthy, athletic clients, as well as a people struggling with their own chronic health challenges. I’ve developed systems and strategies beyond just “teaching an exercise” by educating clients on how to trust their own bodies, letting intuition be the guide, and learning how to pick the best workouts that will help improve their health.

It’s a joy to help others gain the benefits of improved posture, and healthy movement habits with Pilates, foot fitness, and the functional movement systems I teach. Beyond movement the mind-body connection is so powerful. It’s a blessing that I can share my experiences with my Health Coaching clients for things in life that are beyond exercise but integral for wellness.

A Wealth of Knowledge

I LOVE what I do, and am so grateful to be able to share my experiences and expertise with my clients. I’ve helped people reach their health goals in the studio, with virtual training, and through Centerworks® products. Many have also found helpful information through my blog and Youtube videos as well as through books that I’ve written. I’ve developed the Centerworks® Pilates Teacher-Training Program, and a series of Awesome Workshops™ designed for clients and Pilates/Fitness professionals to target key functional movement strategies and exercise goals from foot fitness, to healthy hips, stress-free shoulders, posture, bolting, breathing, walking, and more!

The Importance of Foot Fitness

As an advocate for better foot fitness, I created the Super Ankles Foot-Fit Board Workout, and the RunFit Kit System, and believes that building a strong foundation of understanding and body awareness is key to fine-tuning fitness and maximizing benefits from every exercise, sport, and athletic endeavor.

Remember that degenerative arthritis issue in my ankles… Well I’m now 35 years on the other side of that diagnosis, and my feet feel great! I can run, walk, hop, dance, and have zero foot pain. There is so much that we CAN do to improve our whole-body health. It’s finding the right mentors and being patient through the body’s process of healing and learning new habits for better health.
